The National Association of Baptist Schools (NABS) is a process of self-evaluation followed by a visit of objective observers designed to help Baptist schools improve the quality of their programs.
The process is voluntary and available for every school operated by a church, by an organization, mission group, or group of the Baptist church-- Baptist of Canada.
NABS primary focus is selecting schools that make an extraordinary difference in the lives of extraordinary children while spreading the message of John the Baptist.
NABS is a rigorous national accrediting process designed to evaluate schools based on their unique purpose as Baptist schools.NABS help schools evaluate the quality of academics and programs but most importantly the spiritual dimension of the school.
The "Standards of Baptist Schools" and reporting forms are similar to those used by other accrediting agencies, religious or non-religious agencies.
The Accrediting Commission is made up of representatives from various districts of the Baptist church which governs NABS. The process is owned and operated by the District and Congregation of the Baptist church. There are various schools of all types currently accredited by NABS.
